I'm a huge fan of FX's tv series, Atlanta that stars Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz and Lakeith Stansfield as they show us their world of Atlanta and the surreals going on of life in the USA. The series is super visual and subversive and it's always made a lasting impression on me. I wanted to create an illustration that sums up the main gang and celebrates the journey they all go through by the end of the final season.
To get the likeness I'll always have photo references to help me. I wanted profiles for all the characters apart from the character of Darius who I feel is the outlier of the group and tv series in general.
